We find the team waiting on Jesse to show up at a bar, so that he can tell them what he is investigating. Jesse tells them that he was working with another agent to investigate, illegal guns coming off of ships headed to Algeria. The problem is his contact never showed up, and Jessed does not know if he got cold feet, or something else happened to him.
Michael and his team sign on to help Jesse get to the bottom of what is going on and they head to the docks to get started. They start
by asking all the dock workers if there were any illegal or strange canisters being unloaded at the docks, because they are generally the ones who know everything that is going on (Spy tip). They do not find anything as none of the workers seem to have any idea of anything strange going on, then Jesse breaks up a fight between some thugs and a helpless security guard almost blowing their cover.
Jesse has a lot of sympathy for the guard and volunteers to help him out, Michael and Fiona object, but Jesse insists and the guard Hank becomes “the client”. The team discovers that a mob boss is running the goons who are trying to steal from the docks, and Michael decides that he needs to get a bug inside the mobs hideout. Sam sets up a fake identity for him as an FBI agent named Gordon, so Michael can infiltrate the gang hideout. He goes and meets with the boss while they are getting rough with him he drops the bug and kicks it under a table as to not be detected. They tell Michael to meet them at 4:00pm which he does, and they attempt to kill him as they somehow know he is not Gordon. Michael manages to disarm and beat up both of the thugs using a technique from his arsenal where you disable someone who is holding your arms from behind.
They get back with Sam to regroup, and he finds out that the family Tony (The Mob Boss) works for in New York has sent a Lieutenant down to pressure Tony for coming up short with his payments to them. Sam decides to break out his Chuck Finley character, and they hatch a plan to kidnap Tony and make him get his hands dirty to catch him in the act. Jesse and Sam kidnap Tony from a night club and they tie him up in a hotel room, when Tony awakens he sees Sam (Chuck Finley) sharpening butcher knives getting ready to cut him up. Sam tells Tony that the family in New York is tired of him coming up short, and that they sent
Sam to end it.
Tony starts offering to kick up the missing funds, and finally “convinces” Sam not to kill him by giving him a $1 million dollar stake in a job to steal from the docks. Sam agrees and let’s Tony go, but warns him that his crew cannot be trusted to help him with this. Tony ignores Sam’s advice, and he starts to call his men to help setup the job, but Sam has Fiona blow up Tony’s car and he is then convinced his men tried to take him out. He then meets with Sam again, and offers him $2 million dollars to help him pull of the job, Sam of course agrees. In the meantime Jesse has gotten records of all the port shipments going to and from Algeria from Hank, and he shares the information with Michael as they try to find out where the guns are.
The team meets with Hank to go over the plan, and set it up where Hank will be the hero who catches Tony in the act. Sam and Jesse go meet with Tony who expects Sam and his team to do all of the dirty work, Jesse crosses the line by telling Sam to talk about one of his war stories. Sam is pissed, but stays in character and tells Tony he does not leave men behind, so everyone has to go on the job. Tony agrees he will go in and steal the truck with them in order to pull of the heist. Jesse discovers the location of the hanger used by “Cobra”, and calls Michael so that they can go and check it out; before he can leave Madeline continues to pry about who Jesse is, and he finally tells her that Michael saved his life. Michael and Jesse check out the hanger only to see it is empty, but they discover blood in the landing gear of a plane inside the hanger and think Cobra might be dead.
Sam, Fiona, and Jesse meet up with Tony as they break into the docks; Michael shoots the tires out of the security vehicle to get them safe passage to blow their way into the warehouse. Everything is going well with the plan as Sam has Tony drive out of the warehouse with the computer microprocessors while he goes to get the gate opened. Sam goes to the gate where Hank is, and acts like he is captured by Hank as Tony drives off. Sam tells Tony to leave him, and he drives to the end of the street as the cops are waiting on him about a block away; Tony remembers Sam’s story about no man left behind and he turns around and crashes back into the gate exploding the tires in the process. Sam slugs Hank to keep the rouse going, and Tony tells him he couldn’t leave him and they run away as the cops close in on them.
Tony and Sam get away from the cops, and Tony tries to convince Sam to help him take out Geo the Lieutenant from New York. Sam tells him he will think about it, and goes back to confer with the rest of the team. Jesse thinks it is a good idea as they would take out half of the mobsters in Miami, so the team agrees to the plan and they put out an ad to hire some muscle. They hire several bodyguards, and they head off to go and get Geo since he will be at the dog track.
Michael and Fiona disable Geo’s vehicle and Tony gets out of the car and shoots up his SUV. Geo gets out and asks Tony what the hell is he thinking, and Tony tells him he won’t sit by while they try to kill him. Geo scoffs at Tony’s assertion, and the SUV’s with all the of the body guards start to drive away without Tony’s knowledge. Sam gets back in the car as Tony starts to call for Chuck, and Sam leaves him alone as Geo’s bodyguards get out and he tells Tony that he made a big mistake. Tony ends up killing him and getting wounded himself, but is arrested for the murder which was the intended result; Hank can now work the docks in peace as all of the thieves have been arrested.
The team discovers that the plane they found in the Opa Locka Hangar had it’s last flight to The Bahamas, and shortly thereafter a body washed up on shore probably belonging to Cobra. Fiona is going to arrange for Jesse to go to the Bahamas in the belly of a ship in order to investigate things further. In the meantime Madeline confronts Michael and tells him she knows that he caused Jesse to lose his job, as he had the same look on his face when he let his brother down. Michael tries to tell her that he is Jesse’s friend, and working hard to help him, but Madeline will hear none of it and tells Michael how disgusted she is that he is acting like his friend.
This situation with Jesse and Michael is going to get interesting as I feel Jesse will start to uncover little pieces of information that will lead him back to finding out that Michael is the person who burned him even if it was an accident. Madeline has already pieced it together, so it is only a matter of time before Jesse starts to figure it out as well. Overall a very good and exciting episode with the type of humor and action you have come to expect from Burn Notice, the addition of Jesse to the team seems like a great fit.
