Jesse, Sam, and Michael are discussing how they are going to get the NOC list back from Brennan. Brennan wants to meet with Michael to discuss some sort of deal, but Jesse wants to get revenge for him killing Marv. Michael and Sam manage to talk him out of it, and they go and meet with Brennan. Brennan tells Michael that he has been following him around for a long time, and he wants Michael to kill the people that burned him so that Brennan can make money. Michael is hesitant of course, but Brennan has the recording from Michael debriefing Marv and outing Vaughn, and if Michael refuses Brennan will email the audio file to Vaughn which would be a death sentence for Michael. Brennan also reveals to Michael that he 
has enlisted the help of Larry a spy that Michael has had previous incidents with to aid him with the killing.
As they all head back to Michaels place Larry is trying to convince him that Brennan has given him a good deal, Sam and Michael fake a scuffle in order to talk privately for a few seconds. Sam wants to find Brennan to prevent him from emailing the audio file to Vaughn. Jesse meets with his old agency to answer questions about Marv’s death; he lies to them about how he died and gives them false information to throw them off the scent. Larry and Michael are getting ready to make an attempt to gain access to the FBI computer so that they can decode the name of the first target on the NOC list. Michael gets Larry’s cell number and sends it over to Fiona and Sam in order to allow them to track Brennan’s location when Larry calls him.
Michael and Larry run an old scam from their spy days to gain access to the FBI computer, they get the name they are looking for and call Brennan to give him the name. As they are trying to cover their tracks they set off the alarm, and manage to fool the agents into letting both of them head downstairs without questioning them. They head back to meet with Brennan and they start to discuss Albert Machado and how they are going to take him out. Michael manages to convince Brennan to kidnap Machado rather than killing him, and as he leaves he tells Michael that if he discovers he is being tailed he will email the information to Vaughn immediately.
Fiona and Sam track down the guy who sold the scrambler to Brennan and they find out that he also sold him a biometric safe. They manage to get him to give them the address where he delivered and installed the safe for Brennan, they call Jesse to get him on board as well. Michael and Larry are scouting out Machado’s security and discover that it is very high security with ex Special Forces guards. They head back to Brennan and tell him the lay of the land and how they plan to get inside and grab Machado, and Michael asks for one or two days to finish scouting the shift changes and other security elements. Brennan feels that Michael is stalling for time to find a way out of the situation, so he tells Michael and Larry to 
get ready because they are going in immediately to enact the plan.
Michael pleads with Brennan to abort the mission, but he refuses and has Michael and Larry start to make bombs mimicking a Philippine separatist group. Michael’s team is unable to find out a way to get into the safe, and they decide to try to get Brennan directly. But it requires them to get in and blow up the safe, as they scout out he location Brennan has tons of cameras monitoring the place. They move in on Machado and before Michael is able to kidnap him Larry blows him up, and he and Michael head back to meet up with Brennan.
Michael tells Larry that he has found the location of the list, but it is under heavy surveillance and biometrically locked. They agree to partner up, and once they get back to Brennan Larry changes the plan and murders Brennan since he can still use his dead body to unlock the Biometric safe. He then tells Michael that he has to send his support team (Fiona, Sam, & Jesse) away as they are working this solo. Michael is worried about Vaughn being notified, and Larry tells Michael that it will motivate him to find the list and not try to cross him. Michael calls his team and tells them to leave town for a while because he and Larry are going into business together.
Michael’s message to them was coded and they head to Brennan’s place and steal the safe before Michael and Larry show up with Brennan’s dead body in tow. Larry see’s that the safe is gone and he pulls a gun on Michael in order to find out what happened to the safe, but Michael notices a laser sight shining on Larry’s head. Same has a sniper rifle pointed at Larry and he calls him to force Michael’s freedom, and after a short standoff Michael walks out as Larry is forced to wait for the police to show up because of Sam.
The team heads back and packs up their belongings from Michael’s place because they are anticipating Vaughn and his men showing up soon to kill them. They setup a new hideout and start to drill through the safe, and are successful after a bit of work. They retrieve the list and then they discuss what is going to happen next with regards to Vaughn, and they start to hunker down to wait for them to show up.
The next day Sam tells Michael that the FBI is all over anyone associated with him which means that Vaughn has started to come after him already. The hideout in small motels and decide to ask Madeline to shake down a politician who is on the 
intelligence committee since she has gotten to this same guy in the past. In the meantime Vaughn calls Michael and tells him that he is now going to see what it is like to have him as an enemy and that everyone he knows is at risk now.
Michael and his team decide that they are going to hide the list inside of a heavily guarded nuclear facility just in case Vaughn is able to extract the location of the list from them. Madeline manages to catch up with Bill Cowley and she has to listen to a campaign speech from him before she has a chance to talk to him. Just as Michael and his team are about to put the list inside the nuclear facility Vaughn’s men somehow find them and start to chase them, and they end up hiding in an abandoned hotel surrounded by Vaughn’s men.
They start to take fire from Vaughn’s men, and Jesse is injured as a piece of Rebar went through his leg. They make a splint and try to make Jesse somewhat mobile so that he can be able to help setup a last stand. Vaughn arrives and calls Michael to ask him to give up, but Michael tells him to come in and get the list from him. Vaughn sends his men in, as Michael works to get to the roof in order to sabotage an emergency system to get the cops to show up. Fiona and Jesse setup traps and roadblocks inside the building to slow down the pursuit, and Michael takes out one of Vaughn’s men who is camped out on the roof. He manages to sabotage the emergency system as he discovers a special forces sniper
