The scene opens in Red Square in Moscow where a man is meeting another man named Igor. Suddenly Igor pulls a gun on the man and tells him that they know that he has been working with the CIA. He then shoots the man. Meanwhile, Annie is with Danielle in a Marathon race. She tells her that she is there for her and Danielle tells her that she is happy that she was able to get out of work. At the same moment in Petersburg Prison in Petersburg, VA, Arthur meets with Max Langford, a CIA operative turned traitor. Arthur asks if the name Iri mean anything. He tells Max that he was a CIA asset who was killed. Max says that he doesn’t get any information from anyone on those matters. Arthur leaves and calls Joan. He says that Max knows something about the murder because he is behind it.

Back at the race, Annie comments on a woman wearing jeans in a Marathon. As they are about to run, a man walks up to Annie and tells her that they need her back at work. Annie feels bad, but Danielle says that it is alright. However, it is clear that it is not alright. At the CIA, Joan walks into Arthur’s office and asks why Arthur thinks that Max is the leak. He says that Max didn’t ask for information. Joan warns that Arthur could be blamed for working with him, but Arthur says that he is taking him down. Joan briefs everyone and tells them that they are going to find out as much information that they can. Auggie brings up that Max has two daughters. Bebe is the oldest and has never visited her father in prison. The youngest, Grace, is a veterinarian who takes care of horses. Annie is set to trail Grace, who has been seeing Max every week. Auggie tells Annie that she could have been at Mile 21. She tells Auggie that she is trying to run “damage control”, but she can’t do it. Auggie tells her that Danielle knows that she is trying. He gives Annie her cover. She is a reporter for Breader’s Magazine. Annie tells Auggie that she is getting used to the creepiness.

Jai comes into his office and his secretary tells him that he has no meetings from anyone. Jai feels that he is being kept out of the loop. Annie arrives at the stables and finds Grace. She tells her to leave because she doesn’t talk to the Press. Annie says that she is there for the stables. Grace apologizes and says that she thought that she was there for another matter. Annie asks what that is, but Grace brushes her off. They reschedule and Annie calls up Auggie. She tells him that there was something off. She follows Grace and finds her meeting with a man and gives him a folder. Later at the CIA, Joan says that the man is Adnan Al-Raheeb, a Saudi with a history. Joan says that they might have found their traitor. Joan tells the team that Chess is the way that Grace and her father passing information. Tech guy, Barber, tells them that it is a game that they are playing and Max is keeping the moves in his head. They are going to search the house while Annie distracts her. Annie goes to her meeting and they ride horses. Barber and his team get in. After riding a while, Grace tells Annie that they need to get back. Annie sends a message to the Tech guys. They get out just in time.

Annie and Grace go in and Grace offers Annie a glass of wine. On the side of the road, Barber tells Auggie that it was close, but they got out in time. Jai comes into Auggie’s office and asks him if he wants to go out and get a beer. He agrees. Grace tells Annie about Max and how he got caught up in a bogus charge from the CIA of selling secrets to the Russians. Annie asks about the chess board and Grace says that her father and her are playing the game. Bebe comes in with a Piñata. She says that she was thinking of Grace when she got it. Annie introduces herself to Bebe and when Grace steps out for a moment, Bebe drills Annie with a load of questions. She says that Grace may be naïve, but she isn’t. Annie leaves and sees Bebe take a picture of the chess board. Annie gets into the CIA and Joan tells Annie that they are going to fracture the bond between the sisters. She gives Annie a file that shows Bebe visiting Max in prison. She says that the documents are forged and that Annie needs to sell it to her. Annie tells her that she can’t do the mission and says that her judgment is going to be impaired because of her emotions from dealing with her own sister issues.

Annie goes to Danielle’s house and says that she brought ice-cream. Danielle says that she is sore from running the Marathon. Annie asks about their father and Danielle says that Annie had more of a relationship with him then she did. Annie says that she is going to go and Danielle thanks her for not doing the whole apology thing again. Later that night, Auggie meets for drinks with Jai and he asks what has been going on in the DPD. He says that he feels like an outcast. Auggie tells Jai that he needs to surround himself around with people who are going to be an asset to him. Joan meets Annie at the tavern and she tells Annie that she is going to have to take the job and that it doesn’t matter how she does it, just as long as it gets done. The next day, Annie goes to see Grace and tells her that she is actually CIA. She gets upset and Annie shows the file that Joan told her to show. However, Annie tells her that they are fake. She says that she wanted to be honest to be able to get her to trust her. Grace says that she wants to see him.

They go to the prison and Max asks what they told her. She tells him that they told her that 3 men died when he gave the secrets. He says that they were nothing besides Pawns in their chess game. She says that she has spent many years defending him and doesn’t want to anymore. Annie goes out to meet her and Grace says that she doesn’t want anything to do with her. Annie follows her outside and tells her that she at least needs to give her a ride home. Annie tells Grace that the men who died weren’t “pawns”, but were real people with families. Grace agrees to help and Annie tells her to call Bebe. She leaves a message and says that she will bake a banana crème pie tonight. They get to the house and Grace says that she has to take care of the horses. Annie waits for Grace to get back and calls Auggie. She says that she doesn’t know how easy it is going to be to get Bebe. Annie sees Grace dial a number. Bebe is behind her. She tells her to give up her phone and car keys. She tells her that she knows that she is CIA.

They take Annie to the stables and Bebe aims a gun at Annie. She tells her that it is over and shoots at Annie. Bebe is a bad shot and misses her. Annie tackles Bebe and wraps a rope around her neck. Grace comes in and aims the gun on Annie. She tells her that she understands how important family is, but she has to make her own fate. Grace gives up the gun. Auggie asks where Barber and Holman are and he is told that Special Projects has them now. Auggie goes into Jai’s office and is upset that he poached his operatives. Jai tells him that he only gave the offer. Auggie says that is the last time he will have drinks with him. Annie meets with Joan and tells her that she wants weapon training because she felt the wind of the bullet go by her head. Joan agrees. Later, Annie is at the firing range. The episode ends.

Annie’s (Piper Perabo) favorite Mossad agent (Oded Fehr) pops back into her life pretending to be an agent of the CIA in hopes of talking with an FBI informant, the co-owner of international construction firm involved in various illicit activities. Annie is tasked by Joan (Kari Matchett) to find out what exactly Mossad is after and why Eyad is so desperate to talk to the informant.

It turns out isn’t interested in Jacob, but his ability to contact a deep cover Mossad agent undercover for more than a decade who has lost contact and a killer who he has been after most of his life. The pair’s attempt to arrange a meeting gets both of them shot at, the informant killed, and their car blown to smithereens, and lands them both in hot water with FBI Agent Vincent Rossabi (Noam Jenkins).

Annie pieces the truth about Eyad’s mission, understanding it’s far more personal than the Mossad agent initially let on. To try and save her friend, Annie makes a decision that ends up putting both their lives in danger.

The episode’s B-story involves Auggie’s (Christopher Gorham) new relationship with Paker (Devin Kelley) and his disapproval of her insistance to join the Peace Corps. Although he initially wants to use his job to try and prevent her going into harms way for the good of her family, he has to admit to himself, and Joan, why he’s so concerned with her safety.

It’s fun to see both Fehr and Jenkins both back for this episode. Throw in a late twist where Annie’s attempt to help puts them both in hot water and you’ve got one of the season’s best episodes. We get a little more teasing of a possible Annie and Eyad relationship, including a steamy sequence in a hotel room that reminded me a little of George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez in Out of Sight.

This episode was going to focus more on Arthur and his history. Arthur is quite possibly the most boring and underdeveloped character on the series, and that’s saying something, considering how Jai has been written until recently. The entire subplot involving his legal troubles earlier this season was completely botched, to the point that even devoted fans of the series couldn’t remember what it was all about (or be bothered to go back and find out).

Given all of the marital tension between Arthur and Joan at the beginning of the series (something that was so emphasized, it seemed like it was originally supposed to play a bigger role), I suppose it’s not a shock that Arthur once stepped over the line with an “asset”. I’d be more surprised if this turned out to be the only example of such an instance. Whatever the case, Arthur’s complicated motivations for helping Elsa drive a great deal of the tension in the episode, as Annie has to manage the situation and get everyone out alive.

Speaking of Jai, he’s back in action, but now he’s the Head of Special Projects, which means that he has a lot more authority than he used to have. And considering that he’s following in his father’s footsteps more and more, this actually might go in some fun directions. It’s about time Jai’s subplot went somewhere; now that he has the power to affect Annie’s state of play in the field, I wonder if the writers will try to rekindle the semi-romantic elements.

Things do escalate in Berlin, with lots of emotional moments regarding the night that Arthur was supposed to help Elsa out of East Germany, and Elsa’s husband getting them into one heck of a car chase. I imagine that fans of Arthur (and the actor, for that matter) probably loved every second of it. Being less than enthused with Arthur, I really didn’t care much. (Though, I must give Arthur credit for getting so excited about having Eli Manning on his fantasy football team. Someone in production has some taste, it seems.)

Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Auggie goes to a memorial for an old friend, and runs into his rather attractive sister. Because it has long been clear that Auggie gets more action than everyone else on the series combined, this seems like the beginning of a character arc for Auggie. Hopefully this one won’t end as awkwardly as his first season tryst. Sadly, this also means that adorable Annie/Auggie flirting might be toned down for a while. Though, this new love interest is going into the Peace Corps, so it seems there is a bit of a time limit already written into the equation.

As if that’s all not enough, there was a bit of a truce declared between Annie and her sister. I should have seen it coming when they had their most heated argument yet towards the start of the episode, but I was under the impression their rift would last a bit longer. While I do think it’s a good thing for Annie to have this other side to her life, to balance out the canvas of the series, this all feels a bit too quick for my tastes.

Annie is in Venice on an assignment meeting a contact to make an exchange, when she does the contact is assassinated. The assassin chases Annie, who ends up running into a cart and dropping the package she received before the assassination. Another person working with the assassin steals the package, and despite Annie giving chase he gets away.

She gets back to Langley to report in, and Joan tells her to go home and recharge her batteries. She is still having issues with her sister coming to terms with Annie lying to her about what she was doing for a career choice, and her sister has all but limited communication between them to the minimum. Annie goes to move into her new place with the time Joan gave her to relax and get herself back up to speed.

Jai Wilcox talks to a friend who is close to the investigation into the leaks at the CIA, and finds out that they are going to shut the investigation down. Jai tells his friend that he should call him in to be interviewed and that he knows who is talking and is willing to name names. In the meantime Annie makes a new friend named Zavier when she goes out to eat at a restaurant, and she ends up waking up in his apartment the next morning. Nothing happened except she was extremely drunk, and she gets to work the next morning to discover that he is her next assignment after Spanish intelligence saw them together.

Joan orders Annie to stick close to Zavier and gain intelligence, and Annie has a few questions about how to do that without ending up in bed with him. Annie goes back to the restaurant to see Zavier and he gives her a cooking lesson, and is unaware she is trying to gather intelligence about him. Joan tells her to do whatever she feels the right thing to do. Jai Wilcox is confronted by his father who finds out that Jai intends to be deposed and reveal the name of the leak, and tells him he is making a mistake.

While Annie is cooking with Zavier he realizes he forgot something, and goes to check it out. Annie follows him after a few minutes and sees that he is meeting his brother, who is a rumored terrorist, and there is a duffel bag and they are unloading some wine. They seem startled by her walking up and the brother “Gorka” asks Zavier why he is attempting to rush the lady out of the door. Annie saw the intel on Gorka at the CIA and makes a few observations before she leaves. The next day Auggie calls Annie and tells her where the various tails on Gorka and Zavier are, and she asks is the duffel bag present. Auggie says not and Annie volunteers to go to Zavier’s apartment and look for the bag, even though Auggie thinks that it is a bad idea.

She finds the duffel bag, and starts to take pictures of the contents before the building landlord who let her in comes back. She finishes up and when she hears the door open it’s Gorka instead of the landlord, and he finds her a bit suspicious. Just before things get too sticky the landlord comes back and Gorka takes the duffel bag and leaves. Annie goes to ask Joan if she can read Zavier in as a CIA asset because she feels he is just a man trying to help his brother out and does not have anything to do with it, Joan declines and tells Annie to stop beating herself up over the way things went with her sister.

Annie goes to visit Zavier and tells him she needs to find his brother, and that she is a government official of some sort. Zavier asks her to leave and then she gets a call from Auggie where he informs her that they found bomb making materials in a safe house that Gorka was hiding out in. Annie realizes the crates of wine may contain bomb materials and when she goes back to look with Zavier they find the bomb is about to go off and escape the restaurant just before the bombs explode. The CIA arrives on the scene and is going to use a cover store of it being a gas leak, but Zavier disappeared after the explosion even though he is no longer a suspect. Jai Wilcox’s friend shows up to confront him because he failed to show up at the deposition and made him look like a fool, Jai now refuses to talk about what he knows.

Annie leaves the scene to head back to her safe house and on the way she is kidnapped by Gorka, who reveals to her that he knows she is CIA and that he no longer considers Zavier his brother. As they are in the car driving Zavier pulls up alongside the car and runs the vehicle off the road in order to confront his brother about blowing up his restaurant. He saves Annie in the process and

The last episode left off with Agent Pearce taking Michael into CIA custody for supposedly murdering Max. Sam and Jesse interrupt the transfer, and reassure her that they are telling the truth – Michael did not kill him, but they know who did. Pearce allows Michael to meet with Tavian (bad guy who killed Max), and when Michael does, he gets Tavian to (rather quickly) admit to Max’s murder, just before Tavian throws himself off a skyscraper. While I did see this coming (he was standing really close to the edge), it surprised me that Michael seemed so shocked that this would happen. He never considered it a possibility?

This chapter seemingly closed, Michael seems to be in a good place – until he gets home and Larry, the undead spy and frenemy to Michael, is present and not in jail like he should have been. Larry kidnapped a spy shrink who knows the codes to the British Consulate, and will hand them over to Larry and Michael. Michael helps the shrink, named Anson, escape from Larry, and tells him to find Sam Axe. Sam then enlist the help of Fiona, and the three go to where Michael is to help him – but it seems that Larry has eyes and ears all over the building, and knows that they are there. He also hints that he is not going to let Michael live, which does not sit well with Fiona who lies to get Sam and Anson away from the consulate so she can blow up Larry. However, when her bomb designed for Larry sets off another set of bombs in the lobby, killing two innocent security guards, she is confused and guilt ridden over the accident.

Back at the loft, Fiona is softly crying to Michael about what happened when the first surprise of many happens: Anson walks in, thanks her for her dramatic confession that he had secretly taped, and informs them that he is the last man alive responsible for Michael’s burn notice.

The writers did a great job at making viewers forget about this “dead” burn notice leak, just to bring him back in a major way. As I can figure it out, Anson and his compadres burned Michael in order to recruit him for their secret group designed to complete ops that the CIA wanted no part of. Anson did not think Michael was worthy at first, but then he talked to Michael’s parents and after hearing his back story realized he was perfect for the mission. And now? Anson will run Michael’s life and order him what to do – and if Michael doesn’t do what Anson wants, Anson turns in the tape indicting Fiona in the murder of the two security guards. Yeah, crazy.

After narrowly missing the assassin they were able to find some damaged computer equipment when the place was torched. They used the recovered data from the assassin’s burned hard drives to discover that he has ties to Stigler, a money broker for the Eastern European criminal underground. Stigler does not initially show isn’t interested in helping them, but he seems upset over the news that Lucien was killed by his client, Tavian. Stigler angrily promises Sam that he will look into it and he threatens his life if Sam’s story turns out to be a lie. Elsewhere, Michael is called in by Pearce to travel to Venezuela to forcibly extract a Russian asset code named “Cheshire” who specializes in chemical warfare. And because “Cheshire” is hiding out with his wife at a couples retreat, Michael is asked to bring Fiona.

Fiona is initially annoyed at being sent away with Michael for work instead of pleasure, but Michael convinces her to come by handing over the entire discretionary fund for the trip so she can go shopping. Meanwhile, Stigler meets with Sam and Jesse before telling them that he confirmed their story. He gives them details on Tavian’s weekly money drop to allow them to capture him the next time he comes. In Venezuela, Michael and Fiona subtly spy on their potential candidates for Cheshire and his wife while dancing on the ballroom floor. They finally identify Cheshire as Kevin Skylar, who is accompanied by his disgruntled wife, Nicki (Charisma Carpenter).

Unfortunately, the Skylars are also being shadowed by male and female Russian bodyguards and their support team, who closely control the couple’s movements. Michael and Fiona manage to sneak into the Skylars’ hotel room, but they are forced to destroy Fiona’s $2,000 dress to rappel down the ledge before the bodyguards discover them. From the surveillance bug, Michael and Fiona learn that Nikki wants to enjoy more of the good life and she is very dissatisfied with being under the thumb of both Kevin and the Russian guards. Using that info, Fiona befriends Nikki the next day at the pool.

Michael introduces himself as Fiona’s husband and he tries to trick Nikki and Kevin into going on a helicopter tour with them. When Kevin ultimately turns them down (at the behest of his bodyguards), Michael presents himself as an operative who can double what the Russians are paying and get him out of his current situation. Nikki urges Kevin to say yes moments before the suspicious Russian bodyguards bear down on them. Reluctantly, Kevin agrees moments before the group bursts out into fake laughter to fool the bodyguards. Back in Miami, Sam and Jesse set a trap for Tavian. But Tavian is not only ready for it, he kills Stigler and takes Sam hostage.

However, Tavian soon releases Sam after requesting a meeting with Michael the next day. Back in Venezuela, Michael subdues the male guard assigned to Kevin, but Fiona and Nikki have more trouble eluding the gun wielding female bodyguard, who quickly has reinforcements chasing them. Fiona and Nikki are soon chased to a Warehouse. When Michael and Kevin arrive at the extraction point first, he realizes that something must have gone wrong. Kevin wants to leave without the women, but Michael refuses. By herself, Fiona takes out most of her attackers, but Michael arrives just in time to take out the third.

Michael and Fiona then bond over back-to-back gun fight with the second wave of attackers before returning to the extraction site with Kevin and Nikki. Upon seeing the armed soldiers with the helicopter, Kevin realizes that it was a trap and he attempts to threaten Michael at gunpoint. But Michael convinces him to give up to them rather than face death at the Russians’ hands. Nikki is urged to make a deal to protect herself and incriminate her husband, which she quickly accepts. Back in the states, Sam and Jesse buy time for Michael by locking down the area where Tavian is supposed to meet him.

But back at his loft, Michael finds Agent Pearce waiting for him. She shows him some newly discovered footage from the day Max was killed that depicts himself and Fiona speeding away from the scene. Michael tries to explain himself, but Pearce angrily arrests him for the murder of Max and orders him to bind himself with plastic handcuffs; which he reluctantly does.

There are some sick individuals in the world today, and none sicker than people who consume child pornography. A well respected man named Albert Abrams who sits on the LA City Board of Neighborhood Commissioners, and runs a PR firm where he claims to have worked on the campaigns of Robert Kennedy, Al Gore and Jimmy Carter was arrested for child pornography.

The case began when an undercover FBI agent started frequenting a website known to be used by pedophiles in an attempt to setup a sting. He came upon an account by the name of “BoyWonderUSA,” which contained hundreds of photos of kids as young as four having sex.

The file was traced to Abrams, so agents raided his home and arrested him for being a pervert. You would think at that point the case would be cut and dry with Abrams going to jail for a long time. The FBI has him dead to rights on the evidence, so Abrams doesn’t deny that he’s BoyWonderUSA. Even though Abrams admitted to owning the handle, he came up with some sort of bizarre excuse for viewing the images.

He says he’s suffering from a back tumor that has had an effect on his brain. It’s given him a split personality. He goes on to claim that it was the other personality, not him, who was into child porn. Abrams then revealed that he only discovered his after visiting his doctor following the police raid, who made this miraculous diagnosis.

Apparently, his wife buys his explanation, but it doesn’t seem as if others are. Abrams won’t release the name of the doctor who made the diagnosis. Nor did he plan to resign from a board that deals directly with families and children, but he eventually did and it is unclear if he was forced to or not. He actually has not been arrested for this as of yet, but the investigation is still ongoing.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but I think even Abrams knows that this story is a bit farfetched. Justifying the downloading and viewing of child pornography by saying “the tumor made me do it” is an interesting approach and one that is hard to believe. There are thousands of people who have surgery on tumors and their back each year, and this is the only case anyone could find that led to the desire to watch child pornography. It will be interesting to see what happens to Abrams and if his legal defense holds up in court.

Michael and Sam attempt to apprehend Max’s killer, but he torches his operation and escapes. Fortunately, Sam is able to grab one badly burnt computer tower and calls upon an old acquaintance, Dixon, to help retrieve the data from it. In a rush, they resort to kidnapping Dixon who happens to be wearing a police ankle monitor. They get Dixon to agree to help them, and they promise to help him deal with his police situation later.

While Sam and Fiona work to recover information from the hard drive, Michael fills in for Sam on another of Jesse’s security assignments, which is predictably not as easy as either of them first believe. It’s actually a hostage situation leading up to the intended hijacking of a corporate bigwig’s incoming plane, with Madeline as one of the hostages Michael used that to help him get out of the situation.

Michael, who is undercover with the bad guys posing as a computer expert, is forced to improvise in order to keep everyone alive and safe. His solution is kind of fun, although it might not have worked if any of the hostage-takers had ever seen one of the Die Hard movies. He invents an imaginary ex-special forces agent-turned-airplane mechanic named Jack Marsden and convinces everyone that this badass is on the loose and working to take them down. Through some clever moves Michael is able to make the gang believe that Marsden is attacking them using well timed explosives and even shooting one of them.

Michael blows up a plane to give the hostages cover and time to hide in another warehouse while going back to the original building and pretending to have been injured by Marsden. But this time, Holcomb doesn’t believe him and he threatens to shoot Michael then and there. After another man states that the hostages are hiding in the warehouse, Michael offers to kill them himself if it will prove his loyalty. Once inside with another one of Holcomb’s men, one of the hostages spots Michael and outs him as Madeline’s son. Michael narrowly overpowers the man with Madeline’s help and then uses the man’s blood to make it appear as if he was mortally wounded.

Michael tricks Holcomb into leaving him with a live grenade to take out the hostages and Marsden when they get too close. And soon enough, the cops are waiting for Holcomb at his safe house and he sees Michael and Jesse watching him as he is led away. In order to help Dixon Fiona leads the cops on a wild goose chase as they attempt to place him back under house arrest. Sam and Fiona eventually learn that the killer was paid by someone local to Miami, but time is running out and Michael reluctantly turns his files over to Pearce, who now has three times the manpower to solve the case. And she is convinced that she is getting close to the killer. Michael is still the primary suspect in the absence of the real killer, and with agent Pearce closing in it’s only a matter of time before he has to find a solution.

Michael and Sam go on a stakeout to interrogate the bomb maker named Lucien based on the information they received from Armand. They get there and see Lucien going into his watch repair shop, Michael and same pose as customers but he catches on when they call him Lucien. He tries to get them to fall into a trap, but they avoid the electrified floor and are able to subdue him. He tells them they are wasting their time because he does not talk under any circumstances. Lucien gives them a bunch of bogus information over several days, so Michael and Sam regroup to find a way to crack him.

Fiona drives to Tallahassee and collects things from Lucien’s apartment, she delivers the items to Michael and Sam and leaves to go help Jessie with a private security job. Michael starts rummaging through Luciens belongings in front of him, and they find an article that he gives a bit of reaction too. Michael takes some time to go see what is so interesting about the article. Jessie and Fiona are guarding a house because the residents think someone has been coming in their home, and eventually they find a man named Dan breaking in. They find out that James Forte was his partner and stole the company from him, they agree to help him get revenge against Forte.

Jessie tries to get access to HLX, but Forte’s security team says they have it under control. They recruit Michael to scare Forte into giving Jessie and Fiona full access to HLX, and Michael plays the role of an angry consumer of his medications. He blows up several cars in the parking lot to sell the role to Forte, and after he terrorizes him for a while Forte gives Jessie full access to the HLX building and offices. Jessie belittles HLX’s head of security and convinces Forte that he needs to install bullet proof glass, they snake Michael in by using a make shift container so he could steal the DNA sequencing formula from the safe.

The head of security for HLX sees Michael on camera heading to some of the company’s labs, and he goes to apprehend him. Michael smashes the lab up after being warned by Sam, and he holds the head of security hostage as he exits the building after strapping C4 explosives to the hostage’s chest. This forces Forte to move the DNA sequence to the most secure vault in West Palm Beach, but Michael, Sam, and Dan stage an accident that blocks the road. As the convoy transporting the company secrets approaches Jessie is able to convince Forte to let the rest of the convoy take the detour while the both of them deliver the secrets to the bank because the man chasing him won’t expect that.

Jessie takes Forte to a warehouse where Michael and Dan are waiting, so Forte tries to “buy” his way out of the situation and promises to give Dan back the things he stole from him. Fiona and the woman Forte stole from Dan come out of hiding, and Forte’s wife now knows the truth that Forte had Dan locked up in a South American prison so he could steal his company and his woman. Michael and Sam can’t seem to get any traction with Lucien, and a trip to Orlando to follow a lead Lucien gave them turns out to be a call for help.

A friend of Lucien locates the safe house where they are holding him, and starts shooting up the place. Michael and Sam duck for cover, and Lucien his hit with a barrage of bullets (seemingly to make sure he didn’t talk). As he is dying he gives Michael the location of the assassin outside who hired him to make the bomb, and makes Michael promise to leave his daughter alone. Michael Westen being a man of his word agrees and Lucien dies while Michael and Sam make their escape from the building.

Michael, Madeline, and Fiona are heading out for a boat ride when they are stopped by men on several motorcycles; she finds out that it was from her contact that she reached out to. She ends up meeting a guy named Armand who she has a history with, and he agrees to help her find out who built the bomb her and Michael are looking for, but she has to help him retrieve some ammunition from an armed weapons manufacturing facility.

Sam is against the idea initially, but finally agrees because agent Pearce has Michael on a top secret mission for him. Agent Pearce tells Michael that she wants to re-focus the murder investigation back in Miami because that is where the murder took place. In the meantime she gives Michael a mission to kidnap an asset in the Caribbean, and they allow him to bring Jessie along with him and agent Pearce to extract Steve Cahill.

They catch up with Cahill making an exchange with some mercenaries, and back in Miami Fiona is scouting out the weapons manufacturer’s facility. Sam goes in and scouts the facility to find out how heavy the security is, and it’s fairly heavy and going to cause an issue unless they can get past all of the guards.

Michael and Jessie manage to catch and drug Cahill when he is heading back to his boat, but they get trapped because the mercenaries who were dealing with Cahill are mobilizing for something big. They are between Michael’s team and the boat they were going to use to get away, so Michael and the team have to figure out how to get past them. They decide to pose as covert agents sent by the companies that hired the mercenaries in the first place, they go and take out the communications satellite being used by the mercenaries so they won’t be able to verify their identities.

Michael then puts his plan into action and approaches the mercenaries as private security for the Pyramid group, and they are able to sell the story that they are doing a security check of the island. They almost were shot in the process, but the mercenaries bought their story for now. Michael and the team are able to separate the mercenaries into smaller units so that they will have a better chance of stealing the files that they saw them trade with Cahill. When they get there they find that the man who put everything together sent his own team to retrieve the files, and the leader of the mercenaries realizes that Michael and his team are fakes.

Fiona and same have Madeline plant a smoke bomb in the bathroom of the weapons depot by acting as if her car broke down. They set it off and cause a fire by having it react with the sprinklers and a few other materials they put together. Her and Sam drive in while the guard are all occupied on what caused the fire, Fiona is able to hot wire the truck with the ammunition and they drive out to meet with Armand.

Michael is able to talk the leader of the mercenaries (Vanderwall) into going to confront his boss because he is being scammed. Vanderwall decides to get to the bottom of why his boss sent a team of commandos to get the file, so they head to meet him and all hell breaks loose. Vanderwall ends up killing his boss, and assuming command of his men. Michael tells him that they Pyramid Group will pay him nicely for getting the files, and Vanderwall demands a meeting with Michael’s boss. Agent Pearce calls what Vanderwall thinks is the Pyramid Group to arrange a meeting, but they end up meeting CIA agents and they are convinced to disarm before that fact is revealed.

Fiona drops off the truck to Armand for the information about the bomb maker that Michael needed to find, but Armand tries to convince Fiona she deserves better than Michael. He also tells her that although she spared the guards when they stole the truck, the man the truck was intended for was killed because he did not deliver it to his customers. Fiona leaves with the information, but has some thoughts in her mind about her and Michael’s relationship.
