The case began when an undercover FBI agent started frequenting a website known to be used by pedophiles in an attempt to setup a sting. He came upon an account by the name of “BoyWonderUSA,” which contained hundreds of photos of kids as young as four having sex.

The file was traced to Abrams, so agents raided his home and arrested him for being a pervert.  You would think at that point the case would be cut and dry with Abrams going to jail for a long time.  The FBI has him dead to rights on the evidence, so Abrams doesn’t deny that he’s BoyWonderUSA.  Even though Abrams admitted to owning the handle, he came up with some sort of bizarre excuse for viewing the images.

He says he’s suffering from a back tumor that has had an effect on his brain. It’s given him a split personality.  He goes on to claim that it was the other personality, not him, who was into child porn. Abrams then revealed that he only discovered his after visiting his doctor following the police raid, who made this miraculous diagnosis.

Apparently, his wife buys his explanation, but it doesn’t seem as if others are. Abrams won’t release the name of the doctor who made the diagnosis. Nor did he plan to resign from a board that deals directly with families and children, but he eventually did and it is unclear if he was forced to or not.  He actually has not been arrested for this as of yet, but the investigation is still ongoing.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but I think even Abrams knows that this story is a bit farfetched.  Justifying the downloading and viewing of child pornography by saying “the tumor made me do it” is an interesting approach and one that is hard to believe.  There are thousands of people who have surgery on tumors and their back each year, and this is the only case anyone could find that led to the desire to watch child pornography.  It will be interesting to see what happens to Abrams and if his legal defense holds up in court.

In Philadelphia one man got a lesson in minding his own business when he was riding on a city bus, and a young lady was spanking her child on the bus because the child did not obey her request for him to sit down (A perfectly normal thing).  Upon seeing this the man decided to comment that he would call the Department of Children and Family services (DCF) on the mother for “child abuse”.  So, the woman began arguing with the man, and was probably telling him to mind his own business.  She then made a phone call telling an unidentified person to meet her at the 7th and Cecil B. Moore bus stop.

When the bus arrived at the stop she got off and that’s where Raheen and Karon Patterson opened fire on the bus, and luckily the bus driver closed the door and no one was injured.  Four people are set to go to court over this.  This situation could have been avoided if the guy riding the bus would have kept his mouth closed, and minded his own business.  A mother disciplining their child should not be a big deal, and the guy really had not business chiming in on what was going on.  He did not deserve to get shot at of course, and maybe if the woman was punching the kid or using a weapon on him I could see the need for him to intervene.  For all intents and purposes it seemed like a good old fashioned spanking though.

Now there is something special about a person who can call gun wielding thugs to meet them at a bus stop in a relatively short period of time, who does that?  What is your reaction to this?  Do you think the guy had a right to comment on how the woman disciplined her child?  Watch the video below and you be the judge.

If you are going to deal in the world of crime you have to expect to get ripped of at least a few times yourself, it goes with territory.  When you get ripped off just deal with it, and try to learn from it so it does not happen again.  Maybe someone should have told someone that before they made a fairly stupid mistake.

Police arrested a 41-year-old man last week after he called 911 and told officers that he was not given the correct change after buying crack cocaine from a drug dealer.  The North Charleston Police Department arrested Dexter White for disorderly conduct, and I am sure police had a good laugh when they got the call as well.

It all started last Friday around 4:30 a.m., when White called authorities and told officers that he had given $60 to a drug dealer for crack and only got back $20 worth of drugs.  White said the drug dealer refused to give him $40 back.

According to a police report, White then walked away from the drug dealer, smoked the crack he purchased and then called 911.  White was locked up at the Charleston County Detention Center, the one question that comes from this is when did White realize calling the police was not a good idea.

It seems at least one New York prison hasn’t figured out how the prison guard-inmate roles work.  Two corrections officers were reportedly suspended without pay after their fight had to be broken up by an inmate at the Erie County Correctional Facility.  Yes you read that right, an inmate broke up a fight between two prison guards.

Erie County Undersheriff Mark Wipperman called the incident an “embarrassment” and said it began over a food dispute.  The food in question was apparently a bag of Potato chips, I guess it’s true what hey say about Lay’s you can’t eat just one.

Wipperman says the inmate jumped into the fray because he liked the guards and didn’t want either of them be fired.  Prison personnel told The Buffalo News that the inmate lost a tooth in the scuffle and required medical attention.

Wipperman identified the officers as Lawrence Mule, a 26-year veteran, and James Conlin, who was hired 29 years ago.  The unnamed inmate is reportedly back in prison, perhaps ready to fight another day.  Being that it was a fight between two prison guards with decades of experience make the story even that much more puzzling, maybe the guards need to be put in jail for a little while.

As you watch the news on a consistent basis you realize that AK-47′s in peoples homes are more common than ever, you see terrorists on television with AK-47′s and think they are miles away from you.  Well even if someone owned one there are not that many circumstances where the person would actually fire the semi-automatic weapon right?

Investigators say they’ve never dealt with a naked man attacking a robot before.” So starts perhaps the most insane local news story we’ve ever heard. According to an ABC affiliate in Florida, a disgruntled man, sporting nothing more than his birthday suit and an AK-47, opened fire on a robot last week, after threatening to shoot himself and anyone who crossed the threshold of his home. The $65,000 SWAT bot was sent in to investigate, and captured every inch of the man on video before being pumped full of bullets.

The SWAT team evacuated the houses nearby, then set up a command post several houses away. Despite the man’s violent actions, no one was injured and the standoff ended peacefully. Deputies said the man walked out, fully clothed and with his hands up, ready to be taken into custody.  The man was taken for a mental evaluation.

For parents who work full time jobs one of the toughest decisions can be who are you going to leave their children with when they go to work.  This decision is often a tough one for those who do not have a grandmother or aunt that is able to hang around and watch them.  The next choice is a myriad of expensive daycares where the parents have to find out as much about the history of the daycare and the people that run it to ensure that their children would be safe there.

Well, in North Carolina a couple who owned a daycare was reportedly going to use it as a front for a Meth Lab.  Police arrested the owner of Kit Kat’s Place Family Child Care and her boyfriend Tuesday after records showing the pair had purchased large amounts of pseudoephedrine — a key component for cooking methamphetamine — raised red flags.

The owner of the Daycare had received her license on the same day police burst through their door and hand cuffed her and her boyfriend.  Luckily no children were enrolled at the daycare yet, but if this had taken place a few weeks later there probably would have been.  What type of people setup a meth lab and use a daycare as the front for it?  That is about the stupidest idea you could come up with, but most criminals don’t think before they act.

Local police said that was the first time they can recall a daycare being used as a front for a meth lab, and there is good reason for that most criminals are not dumb enough to do it.  You would have a number of seedy characters coming by to pick up their meth, and surely guns would be involved to protect the lab and it’s contents.  Then parents coming to pick up their kids would unknowingly be in harms way, it’s just an overall bad idea  and it’s a good thing these fools were caught!

Michael Gilliland, 52, was one of eight people arrested in the sting last week. He is accused of soliciting sex online from a girl who identified herself to him as a minor.  Now that is unfortunately a common story we have heard numerous times in this society, but the odd thing is that Gilliland is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a West Coast grocery chain.  This is not the typical situation you find the CEO of a corporation in, and as a result of his arrest he has resigned his position as CEO.

He was charged with felony child prostitution, and he is adamant that he is not guilty of the charges against him and he expects to be found innocent of all charges against him.  It seems to be a cut and dry situation from the law enforcement side as he allegedly arranged to meet and underage female at a hotel, drove there after agreeing to an undisclosed amount for sex.  Unfortunately for him the police were waiting when he got there.

Whether Gilliland is guilty or not isn’t the question, the real question out of this is why would the CEO of a corporation be anywhere near a chat room with underage children?  A CEO makes good money, and can generally afford a variety of the finer things in life, but to sit online and negotiate for the services of an underage girl is fairly stupid.  Charlie Sheen for all of his sexual escapades with hookers and pornstars wouldn’t be caught dead dealing with an underage child.

The fact that the suspect in this case seems to think he will somehow be exonerated is very interesting, because if he was online chatting about it there is a log.  How will he also explain why he drove to the hotel to meet with said child, only to find the cops there?  He my get off on a technicality, but at the end of the day it’s fairly evident that something out of place was going on there.

There are many people in the world who long for human companionship, and for a lot of men the services of a prostitute fill that need when they are unable to find a woman through traditional methods.  In recent years it seems that law enforcement has been cracking down on the practice of finding escorts through the internet using sites like Craigslist.com.  Even with the crackdowns police officers are still faced with people finding other avenues to market and purchase adult services from the women and pimps that offer them.

In one case a man from Lexington, North Carolina made it easy for police to catch him when he made a mistake in his search for some companionship.  Lonnie Michael Felts called 911 three times in one day in several efforts to secure adult services.  On his first call Felts requested “a hooker and an escort to get boots” according to the arrest report.  An officer took an easy on Felts and warned him about using the 911 emergency systems for non-emergency purposes.

Felts was apparently drunk and high was not at the top of his intellectual game and he called 911 two more times hoping to find that elusive escort he had been looking for.  On the subsequent calls Felts requested a non-emergency domestic escort apparently thinking that there were code words that he could use to get what he wanted.  After the third call the police had not choice but to arrest felts and charge him with accessing the 911 system for a purpose other than an emergency communication.  I am sure once Felts sobered up he realized that the police escort service is for people who are drunk and need help getting home, and not a secret service to order hookers.

There are some odd people in the world, but this guy has to rank up there with some of the oddest.  Police say an Ohio man accused of having sex with a corpse told investigators he didn’t at first realize the woman was dead.  Really?

Richard Elwood Sanden, 55 of Geneva, OH, was being held on $500,000 bond Wednesday in the Davies County Jail in Washington, IN, on charges including abuse of a corpse and possession of marijuana.  He is probably hoping he gets convicted on the Marijuana charge because that would at least be normal.

The Washington Times-Herald reports police arrested Sanden on Saturday night after they were called to the dead woman’s apartment.

The newspaper reports Sanden told police he was having sex with the 48-year-old woman whom he had known for a few months when he realized she wasn’t breathing. He told police he administered CPR and called an ambulance.  The woman’s cause of death remains under investigation.

What is wrong with this guy, how can you have sex with a woman and not know she is dead?  This guy must have really been out to get his because he was just going to town without getting any sort of feedback from the woman at all?  This is the ultimate example of a dude not giving a damn if the woman he is being intimate with gets hers or not.

There are plenty of thieves in the world who prey on unsuspecting victims, some of these thieves are bold.  But one unsuspecting woman found out that an unattended purse can be vulnerable even at church.  Bridget S. Pachoumis 38, was charged with fraud Sunday after she admitted to stealing two credit cards from a purse at First Baptist Church and racking up nearly $600 in charges.  She sat down by the purse and left before the end of the service. Later that day, the owner was alerted to suspicious purchases.  Deputies found Pachoumis at Westshore Pizza, where she charged $32.43.

What the hell was this women buying at a Pizza place for $32.43?  Was she making an effort to feed multiple people with her stolen credit cards, and then sitting in the establishment eating her meal?  It is obvious that this woman is not a career criminal as she did not make any sort of effort to get rid of the credit cards once she took them, and the fact that she knew her victim was still in church which would have given her ample opportunity to get away with it.  The main thing she should be worried about at this point is if god comes calling for the money she took which should have went into the collection plate!

She was booked on a Fraud/Swindling charge, and attempting to obtain property under $20,000 and bonded out for $3000.  That sure is a lot of stuff to deal with for a measly $600 shopping spree, she will more than likely get some sort of community service and probation as a result.
